How to apply to a Russian university?
  • The university offers a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, a doctoral degree, and a Russian language course.

  • Prepare the necessary documents for the university you wish to attend.

  • Fill out an application.

  • Translate the required document into Russian, or sometimes English is acceptable. 

  •  A copy of your passport.

  • A high school diploma.

  • Graduate studies require a copy of your diploma and transcripts. 

Documents required for a student visa:
  • Passport (original): You must have a valid passport with two blank pages for at least 18 months after receiving your visa. 

  • Invitation to enter Russia(Original).

  • Fill out the application form online.

  • A photograph measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm (1.18 x 1.57 inches).

  • Certificate of HIV-negative status.

  • Notaries certify parental consent for applicants under 18 years of age.

  • Please note that this is a general list. Contact the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country for more information about your application.

  • International applicants from Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Southern Ossetia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Armenia and Uzbekistan do not need a visa.
