The Karolinska Institute is a highly esteemed international institution in the field of medicine, with a strong commitment to advancing human health through research and education. As a prominent university in Sweden, we offer an extensive range of academic medical programs, and our prestigious Nobel Assembly has been responsible for selecting Nobel laureates in Physiology or Medicine since 1901. Karolinska Institutet awards 10 scholarships each year, which are distributed among all of its Global Master's Programs. These scholarships attract approximately 1,500 international students annually, who compete intensively for them.

To be eligible for the Karolinska Institutet Global Master's Scholarship, an applicant must:

Have submitted a formal application to one of Karolinska Institutet's Global Master's Programs, commencing in 2024.
Be a non-EU/EEA student who is required to pay tuition fees.
Have paid the application fee by 1 February 2024.
Meet the entry and documentation requirements for the program in which they have applied.
Be a first-year student.

The Karolinska Institutet Global Master's Scholarship just covers the tuition fee, or a fraction thereof for programs that are not fully administered by Karolinska Institutet. It is the responsibility of the scholar to obtain funding for travel, living expenses, and other expenses. Please note that the KI Global Master's Scholarship is only applicable to students enrolled in a Global Master's Program at Karolinska Institutet and cannot be used for any other academic endeavors.
