Citizenship: Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries with a valid partnership with the Hungarian government.
Academic Background: Applicants must have a completed high school diploma for bachelor’s programs, a bachelor’s degree for master’s programs, and a master’s degree for PhD programs.
English or Hungarian Proficiency: English is the predominant language of instruction, but students must prove proficiency via IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent language test, along with an interview at the university. Motivation Letter: A detailed motivation letter explaining why the applicant wishes to study in Hungary and how the chosen program aligns with their academic and professional goals.
Proof of Language Proficiency: Applicants must provide proof of English or Hungarian language proficiency (such as IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent tests). The document must be translated into the language of the study program or Hungarian.
School Certificates and Transcripts: Certified copies of high school diplomas and academic transcripts, along with their official translations into the language of the program or Hungarian.
Copy of Identification Document: A copy of the applicant's passport or other identification documents.
Acceptance of Statement for Application: The applicant must confirm their acceptance of the application terms and conditions in the online system.
Medical Certificate (for nominated applicants): A medical certificate confirming that the applicant is in good health. This is mandatory only for those applicants who have been nominated by their sending partners.

The application process for the Hungary Government Scholarships involves three key steps to ensure the selection of qualified candidates:

Online Application Submission: Applicants must submit their application through the Tempus Public Foundation’s online system. After registering on the platform, applicants can upload the necessary documents, such as academic transcripts, diplomas, proof of language proficiency, and other supporting materials.
Sponsor Contact and Nomination: Once the application is submitted, Hungarian higher education institutions will reach out to the relevant authorities or sponsors in the applicant’s home country. The scholarship encompasses the following benefits:

Tuition Fee Coverage: Full tuition coverage for the entire duration of the study program.
Monthly Stipend: Bachelor’s and Master’s students receive a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 (approximately €120), while doctoral students receive HUF 140,000 (€390).
Accommodation: Either free dormitory accommodation or a contribution toward housing costs.
Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance is provided throughout the study period.
