To be eligible for the Chinese Government Scholarship at Nanjing University, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

Nationality: Must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.
Health: Must be in good physical and mental health.
Academic Background: Master's Applicants: Must hold a bachelor’s degree and generally be under the age of 35.
Doctoral Applicants: Must hold a master’s degree and generally be under the age of 40.
Academic Performance: Must demonstrate excellent academic records and strong research potential.
Language Proficiency: Chinese-taught programs: Minimum HSK Level 4 for sciences and HSK Level 5 for liberal arts.

Foreigner Physical Examination Form (issued within the last 6 months).
Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (issued within the last 6 months).
Personal Statement using the university’s official template.
Provisional Acceptance Letter from a Nanjing University supervisor (highly recommended for doctoral applicants).

Nanjing University Registration: Create an account on the Nanjing University International Student Service System. Complete the application form and upload all required documents.
Initial Assessment: The university will conduct a preliminary review. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of departmental assessments or interviews.
Receive Pre-admission: Successful candidates will receive a pre-admission letter from Nanjing University.
CSC System Application: Log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System. Select Program Type B and enter the Agency Number for Nanjing University: 10284.
Final Submission: Upload the Nanjing University pre-admission letter and all other documents to the CSC portal.
