Since its inception in 2006, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program has collaborated with top American-style universities, including the American University in Cairo, the American University of Beirut, and the Lebanese American University. These institutions, renowned for their liberal arts education, equip students with the critical thinking skills and practical knowledge necessary for effective leadership. Through this program, participants are empowered to find innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing their communities, the MENA region, and the world.

Beyond their academic achievements, Tomorrow’s Leaders engage in enriching experiences such as internships, civic-engagement activities, and workshops that allow them to apply their learning in real-world settings. Citizenship/Nationality: Applicants must be citizens or nationals of one of the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, or Yemen.
Common Requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate Applicants:
- Academic Excellence: All applicants must demonstrate strong academic credentials.
- Personal Qualities: Applicants should exhibit maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.
- Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need, particularly those who are underrepresented or economically deserving, with supporting financial documentation required.
Program Start: Must be able to travel and begin their respective programs in August 2025.

Specific Requirements for Undergraduate Applicants:

Educational Background:Must be a current high school senior or a 2024 graduate.
Applicants from Iraq, Libya, Syria, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen who graduated in 2023 are also eligible. Current high school seniors must maintain high academic achievement and pass their final exams.
English Proficiency:
- No TOEFL or IELTS Required for Initial Application: Applicants do not need to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores when initially applying for the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program.
- Assistance for Shortlisted Candidates: If you are shortlisted after the interview process in January, the program will assist you in taking the TOEFL in February.
- Optional Submission: If you choose to take the TOEFL or IELTS on your own before November 29, 2024, you may include your scores in your application. However, it is not required for the initial submission.

Specific Requirements for Graduate Applicants:

Admission Requirements: Must meet the admission criteria of the host university, with details provided on the program website.
Program Commitment: Must commit to completing the master’s degree within two academic years.

Completed Application Form: Ensure the application form is accurately filled out and submitted through the online portal.
Academic Transcripts: Provide official transcripts from all previously attended schools or universities. These should include your most recent grades.
Proof of English Proficiency (Optional for Initial Submission): If you have taken the TOEFL or IELTS before November 29, 2024, include your scores in your application. If not, this can be provided later if you are shortlisted.
Personal Statement or Essay: A well-written statement outlining your academic goals, leadership experiences, and reasons for applying to the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program.
Letters of Recommendation: Submit letters from teachers, academic advisors, or employers who can speak to your academic performance, leadership potential, and character.
Financial Documentation: Provide documentation that demonstrates your financial need. This may include income statements, tax returns, or other relevant financial records.
Passport Copy: A clear copy of your valid passport, showing your citizenship in one of the eligible MENA countries.

Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary documents, such as academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency (if available), financial documentation, and any other required materials.
Access the Online Application Portal: Visit the official application portal through the program website or the websites of the participating universities: The American University of Beirut (AUB), The American University in Cairo (AUC), or The Lebanese American University (LAU).
Complete the Online Application: Carefully fill out the online application form, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Include all required documents and answer all questions thoroughly.
Optional TOEFL/IELTS Submission: While TOEFL or IELTS scores are not required for the initial application, you may include them if you have taken the test before November 29, 2024.
Submit the Application: Review your application to ensure all information is correct and complete. Submit your application through the portal before the specified deadline.
Prepare for Interviews: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview as part of the selection process. Be ready to discuss your academic achievements, leadership experiences, and financial need.
TOEFL Assistance for Shortlisted Candidates: If you are shortlisted after the interview process, the program will assist you in taking the TOEFL in February.
