General Eligibility for Master's and Ph.D. Programs:

3. Completed Original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and Blood Test Report

The physical examination must cover ALL the items listed in form. (Download at http://sie.xjtu.edu.cn/en/2.pdf and fill in Chinese or English.) The forms with incomplete records or without the suggestion and signature of the attending physician, official cross-edge stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

5. Original Highest Diploma and Its Notarized Copies (Prospective diploma winners must submit official certificate from their current university.)

6. Original transcripts in undergraduate or graduate period and their notarized copies

7. Recommendation Letters

Two original recommendation letters written by professors or associate professors. If applicants have already got provisional acceptance from professors at XJTU, please provide Xi’an Jiaotong University Recommendation Letter from Potential Supervisor as one of the two recommendation letters. Step 3. Pay the application fee.

(The university will send Payment Notice for Application through system information/email to those who pass the initial review.)

Step 4. Application complete.

Students should pay close attention to the application system and registered email; follow up the latest information such as academic review, pre-admission review, tuition payment and acceptance information, etc.

NOTES:

a） Application fee is 800RMB which is non-refundable.

b） Online application is the only way to submit the application. Hard copies are unacceptable.

CSC-Chinese University Program: The CSC-Chinese University Program is funded by the Chinese government under the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). It provides comprehensive financial support, including:
- Waiver of tuition fees.
- Free on-campus dormitory accommodation.
- Monthly living allowance.
- Comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China. This scholarship is available to master’s and doctoral students and covers up to 4 academic years, including both major studies and any necessary Chinese language or preparatory studies. The program is ideal for students seeking full financial assistance and a broad support network during their academic journey in China.
XJTU Siyuan International Student Scholarship: The Siyuan International Student Scholarship is designed to support academically excellent students by waiving tuition fees and offering a monthly living allowance. This scholarship is:
- Available to master’s students for up to 2 academic years.
- Available to doctoral students for up to 3 academic years. While it does not cover accommodation or medical insurance, it offers significant financial relief to students who qualify, particularly those focused on academic excellence and research.
XJTU-Xi’an City Government “Belt and Road” International Student Scholarship: In line with China’s “Belt and Road” initiative, the Xi’an City Government Scholarship supports international students from countries involved in this global development strategy. The scholarship covers:
- Waiver of tuition fees.
- Monthly living allowance. It is open to master’s students for 2 academic years and doctoral students for 3 academic years. This program aims to foster international collaboration and academic exchanges between China and Belt and Road countries, making it a valuable opportunity for students from these regions.
