Nationality: Applicants must be of non-Chinese nationality and in good health.
Current Status: Open to international students not currently residing in China, or graduates of Chinese universities.
Legal Compliance: Must comply with the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the regulations of Zhengzhou University.
Academic Excellence: Applicants should demonstrate excellent academic performance and strong research capabilities.
Age and Education: Applicants for the doctoral program must have an exemplary academic record from a master’s program or higher and be under 40 years old.
Language Proficiency:For Chinese-taught programs: HSK4 or above (minimum score of 210, valid for two years).
For English-taught programs: IELTS (minimum 5.5) or TOEFL (minimum 80) scores, valid for two years, or an English proficiency certificate from previous academic institutions..

The application process requires several documents to be submitted online:

Degree Certificate and Transcript: Notarized copies of your highest degree and academic transcripts.
Passport-sized Photo: Recent photo meeting passport standards.
Passport Copy: Scanned copy of your valid passport.
Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation from professors or academic advisors.
Personal Statement or Research Proposal: A detailed statement outlining your academic interests, research plans, and career goals.
Language Proficiency Proof: Relevant certificates proving your language skills.
Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Completed health examination form.
