The Amiri Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded by UDST to eligible students residing in Qatar and international students from all over the world. The purpose of the scholarship is to enable exceptional students to pursue a degree in the applied fields of study offered by the University, foster creativity and innovation in science and technology, and to experience Qatar’s diverse multicultural society.
Eligibility :
Eligibility Criteria
High school graduation certificate or equivalent approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a minimum average of 90% or equivalent.
Successful completion of final year Math, Science (Chemistry/Biology/Physics) and any other subject-specific entry requirements for the Program with a minimum score of 90% or equivalent.
The applicant should be a high school graduate in the same or previous year in which the scholarship application is made.
Extra-Curricular Achievements: Activities undertaken outside the regular academic curriculum such as Certifications, Competitions, Olympiads, etc. Student engagement achievements such as Awards, Leadership Roles (example: President of Student Council), outreach programs, etc.
Standardized Test Requirements
English RequirementIELTS: An overall band of 7.0 with no individual band score (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) below 6.5. The score is valid for two years from the original test date.
SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing): A minimum score of 550. The score is valid for three years from the original test date.
TOEFL iBT: A minimum score of 95 (no score below 22). The score is valid for two years from the original test date.
Mathematics RequirementSAT (Mathematics): A minimum score of 550. The score is valid for three years from the original test date.
ACT (Mathematics): A minimum score of 22. The score is valid for three years from the original test date.

Steps for submitting an application to UDST:
Check the application deadline and program offered by visiting the Application Deadlines page.
Prepare the required documents: Copy of the official high school grade report (Grade 12), Copy of the Passport, Copy of the Qatari ID.
Fill and submit the application through the University website. To complete the application submission, a non-refunded application fee of 300 QR must be paid.
Once payment is made, you will be directed to select your preferred placement test date.
You may check the application status 5 working days after submission by visiting the website.
Applications for the Amiri Scholarship are accepted through their online application process for both domestic and international applicants.
Firstly, you should apply to the university. Once your application is accepted, you may be considered for the scholarship, provided that all the necessary requirements are met.
