The Czech Government Scholarships are offered under the Czech Republic’s Foreign Development Cooperation. These fully funded scholarships allow international students from selected developing countries to pursue Master’s and Doctoral programs at public universities in the Czech Republic.
Programs are available in Czech and English. Students applying for Czech-taught programs will first complete a one-year Czech language course. The scholarships cover tuition, living expenses, accommodation, and health insurance.
Eligibility :
Must be a citizen of one of the eligible developing countries listed below
Cannot hold Czech or EU citizenship or permanent residence in the Czech Republic
Educational requirements:
Secondary education for Bachelor’s (only in Czech, limited fields)
Bachelor’s degree for Master’s programs
Master’s degree for Doctoral programs
Must pass the general knowledge test, and the English test if applying for English-taught programs

Legalized diplomas and transcripts with official translations
Declaration of acceptance (scholarship and health terms)
For PhD: research plan + recommendation letter
How to apply :
Review the official Guidelines for Applicants
Complete the online application form on the Czech Development Agency (DZS) portal before 30 September 2025
Take the required entrance exams (general knowledge + English if applicable)
Prepare documents
Submit two copies of all documents via the Czech Embassy or nominating authority
Wait for selection results (evaluation October–January, final results in May–June)
