Eligibility :

To be eligible for the Danish Government Scholarship at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a non-EU/EEA citizen.

  • Must be applying to one of the following Master’s programs offered at the Sønderborg campus:MSc in Engineering - Mechatronics
    MSc in Engineering - Electronics
    MSc in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering

  • Scholarships are granted either as full or partial tuition fee waivers.

  • The scholarship is awarded to highly qualified applicants, typically based on their academic performance and the results of an interview.

Required documents :

Make sure to upload the following documents during the application process:

  • Application deposit fee receipt.

  • Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian (must include grades and ECTS/credits for each course).

  • Course descriptions for the courses listed on your transcripts.

  • Proof of English language proficiency (for non-native English speakers).

How to apply :

To apply for the Danish Government Scholarship, follow these steps:

  • Submit an application for admission to one or more of the eligible master’s programs. There is no separate application process for the scholarship.

  • You will be invited to an online interview with key persons from the master's program. If you applied to multiple programs, the interview will be for your highest-priority choice.

The Scholarship Benefits:

The Danish Government Scholarship offers several key benefits:

  • Full or partial tuition fee waivers:Full waiver: covers tuition for the entire program.
    Partial waiver: covers tuition for the second and fourth semesters. The student must pay tuition for the first and third semesters.

  • The scholarship waivers cover 30 ECTS per semester. If you enroll in more courses, the extra ECTS will not be covered.

  • Monthly living allowance (depending on the specific scholarship awarded).
