The Chinese Government Scholarship – High-Level Postgraduate Program at Guizhou University (GZU) is a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue Master’s and Doctoral degrees in China. Eligibility :
  • Be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old when applying for a Master’s program.

  • Hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old when applying for a PhD program.

  • Not hold any other scholarship funded by the Chinese government or universities.

  • Meet the academic requirement of a GPA ≥ 78% in the previous degree.

  • Provide language proficiency proof:

    • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (230+ points).

    • For English-taught programs: IELTS ≥ 6.0 or TOEFL ≥ 80.

  • Scholarship Duration

    • Master’s programs: 3 years

    • Doctoral programs: 4 years

All uploaded documents must be clear, authentic, and scanned with professional quality.

Required documents :
  • Valid passport home page (valid beyond Sept. 2026)

  • Highest degree certificate and transcripts (notarized English or Chinese versions)

  • Language certificates: HSK / IELTS / TOEFL

  • Acceptance Letter signed and stamped by Guizhou University

  • Study plan or research proposal (≥ 1,000 words; signed by supervisor for PhD)

  • Two recommendation letters (from professors or associate professors)

  • Foreigner Physical Examination Form (within 6 months, signed & stamped)

  • Non-criminal record certificate (within 6 months)

  • Art/design samples (if applying for art majors)

How to apply :

Step 1: Apply via Guizhou University Platform

  • Register on the Guizhou University International Student Service Platform.

  • Select Online Application → Chinese Government Scholarship → Choose Language and Major.

  • Fill out all information, upload the required documents, and submit your application before December 30, 2025 (Beijing Time).

Step 2: Interview & Pre-Admission

  • Applications passing the initial review will move to the college-level interview.

  • Successful applicants will receive the Acceptance Letter for International Students of Guizhou University for CSC Scholarship.

Step 3: Apply via CSC Online System

  • Go to the official CSC portal.

  • Please note that the Program Category is B, and the Agency NO. of GZU is 10657.

  • Complete the online form, upload required materials, and submit the application once all details are verified.

Step 4: Admission & Enrollment

  • Final results will be announced by mid-2026.

  • Admitted students must register in August–September 2026 with original academic, medical, and legal documents for verification.
