The MTCP (Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme) Scholarship is a prestigious program sponsored by the Malaysian government. It is dedicated to international students from developing countries, aiming to provide them with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia. The primary goal is to enable these students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that can contribute to the development of their home countries.

Eligibility :
  • Age: Not more than 45 years old.

  • Academic: Minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) or CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent.

  • English Proficiency:IELTS (minimum score 6) or TOEFL (minimum score 60).
    Previous degree in English medium.

  • Health: Excellent health certified by a doctor. Medical check-up costs borne by the applicant.

  • Certified Copy of English Language Proficiency:TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/CAE/CPE/MUET or equivalent qualification.
    Alternatively, an official letter declaring English as the medium of instruction.

  • Letters of Recommendation: From two referees, downloadable from the MTCP scholarship website.

  • Latest Admission Offer Letter: From Malaysian universities for the 2024 academic intake, if applicable.

How to apply :
  • Register and apply at MTCP Registration.

  • Use the online system for the entire application and selection procedure.

  • Log in at different stages to check status or provide supplementary documents.

The Scholarship Benefits:
  • Tuition Fees: Paid directly to the university.

  • Monthly Allowance: RM3,500.00.

  • Air Ticket: One-off return economy class ticket from the student's closest international airport to Malaysia and back.
