The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship is a fully funded initiative by the Malaysian government for international students from developing countries pursuing a Master's degree. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly allowance of RM 3,500, round-trip airfare, medical insurance, and other related expenses. Applicants must be under 45 years old, hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Second Class Upper (Honours), and have an offer of admission from a Malaysian university for the September/October 2025 intake.
Priority fields of study include Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation, Economy, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Food Security, Islamic Finance, Law, Public Administration and Policy Studies, and Sustainable and Environmental Science. The application deadline is June 13, 2025. Applicants must submit an online application along with required documents, including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, a statement of intent, proof of English proficiency, and a medical report.
Eligibility :
Nationality: Citizen of a developing country recognized by Malaysia
Age: 45 years or younger at the time of application
Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or Second Class Upper (Honours)
English Proficiency: IELTS score of at least 6.0, TOEFL iBT score of at least 60, or proof of previous degree taught in English
Health: Excellent health certified by a doctor; medical check-up costs borne by the applicant
University Admission: Must have an offer from a Malaysian university for the September/October 2025 intake
Study Status: Not yet started studies or registered for no more than one semester in a Master’s program
