The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme, MTCP Scholarship 2026 is a scholarship offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia for outstanding graduates from eligible MTCP recipient countries. The scholarship is available for students who want to study a full-time Master’s degree in Malaysia.
This scholarship supports selected fields that are important for development, including ICT, Economy and Trade, STEM, Food Security and Agriculture Technology, Islamic Finance, Law, Public Administration, Policy Studies, and Sustainable Environmental Science. The scholarship does not apply to Nursing, Medicine, or Clinical Pharmacy courses.

Eligibility :
Applicants must be from an eligible MTCP recipient country.
Applicants must apply for a full-time Master’s degree only.
Applicants must be 45 years old or below at the time of application.
Applicants must have at least:Second Class Upper Honours, or
CGPA 3.0, or
Equivalent undergraduate qualification.Applicants must provide English language proof, such as:
IELTS minimum score 6, or
TOEFL iBT minimum score 60, or
Proof that previous degree was taught in English.
Applicants must be in excellent health and submit a valid medical report.
Applicants must have a full offer letter, conditional offer letter, or proof of university application from a supported Malaysian university.
Required documents :
Passport information page with at least 12 months validity.
Undergraduate academic transcript.
Official grading system explanation, if the transcript does not show CGPA, marks, or score percentage.
English language proof, such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or English-medium instruction letter.
Curriculum Vitae, CV.
Medical report valid within six months from the application date.
Two recommendation letters with signature and official stamp.
Full offer letter, conditional offer letter, or proof of university application from a supported Malaysian university.
Certified English translation for documents not in English.

The Scholarship Benefits:
Full tuition fees paid directly to the university.

Scholarship duration:
24 months for coursework Master’s programs.
36 months for mixed-mode or research Master’s programs.
