The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program—now in its 25th year—invites PhD students worldwide to submit cutting‑edge research proposals in areas like AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, graphics, healthcare and high‑performance computing. It offers up to $60,000 per award to support research that advances accelerated computing. Fellows gain access to NVIDIA technology and experts, and must complete a required in‑person summer internship at one of NVIDIA’s research labs before the fellowship year begins.
Recipients are selected based on academic merit, research quality, publication record and alignment with NVIDIA’s core domains. This program fosters collaboration between academia and industry—accelerating discovery while giving students exposure to NVIDIA’s research ecosystem.
Eligibility :
Completed at least one year of PhD-level studies at the time of application
Majoring in CS, CE, system architecture, EE or related fields
Actively engaged in PhD research and enrolled full-time during the 2026‑2027 academic year (i.e., not expecting to graduate before May/June 2027)
Available for an in‑person summer internship at an NVIDIA research office in the US, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Israel or Taiwan
Not an immediate family member of a current NVIDIA employee
Award payments are made to the student’s university, not directly to the student

2-page research summary/thesis proposal (plus bibliography)
Current CV or resume with contact info
At least two nomination letters (one must be from your thesis advisor; up to three total allowed)
Statement of availability for the in-person summer internship

Set up your student profile and draft your application. You can edit it before final submission.
Enter your research summary/thesis proposal (max 2 pages, bibliography excluded), CV/resume, and recommender contacts.
Portal will send emails to your recommenders to upload letters. Monitor their status; letters must be submitted by deadline three hours before the student deadline.
