The Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies is pleased to announce the availability of a scholarship for an outstanding female candidate from Asia or Africa who intends to commence studies in the three-year Master's programme in Theology on September 1st, 2023.

The Master's programme in Theology is recognized as one of the most culturally diverse MA programmes at Radboud University, and is ranked among the top 50 programmes in the world in the field of Theology, as per the QS Ranking of 2021. The scholarship offers a sum of €15,000, covering the tuition fee for the first year of the Master's programme, which amounts to €12,500. Provided that the recipient maintains good academic standing, the scholarship is renewable for an additional two years, resulting in a total of three years of financial support.

Eligibility :

How to apply :

To apply for the scholarship, you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Apply for the Master program in Theology at Radboud University through Studielink.

  • After completing your application for the Master program, upload the following documents in Osiris before the 1st of April:

  • A letter of motivation stating which area of Theology you wish to specialize in.

  • Curriculum vitae (CV).

  • Two letters of recommendation from academic referees.

  • Transcripts from all previously attended academic institutions.

  • An academic writing sample/essay (2000-2500 words) related to the academic discipline of theology.

  • Be prepared for a Skype interview, which may be part of the scholarship procedure.

Please note that your application for admission to the Master's program should be processed before you can be considered for the scholarship. Application to the Master’s programme is free of charge and non-binding.

  • The selection committee will review the applications and select the successful candidates for the scholarship before the 1st of May.

The Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship benefits for the selected candidate are as follows:

  • The scholarship covers the tuition fee for the first year of the three-year Master's program in Theology at Radboud University, which is € 12.500.

  • The scholarship award is € 15,000 in total.

  • The scholarship is renewable for the second and third year of the program, provided that the candidate remains in good academic standing.

  • The scholarship will help the candidate to cover living expenses, such as accommodation, books, and other expenses related to the program.
