The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) offers year-round Scientific Internships for students pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences, computer sciences, mathematics, or related disciplines. These internships provide an excellent opportunity for aspiring researchers to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge scientific projects and to work closely with leading experts in their chosen fields. The duration of an internship can extend up to one year, offering flexibility and depth in research involvement.
Internship appointments are managed by the head of a research group (Professor or Assistant Professor) or staff scientists, with the availability subject to funding and approval by the Academic Affairs division. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and interested candidates are encouraged to directly contact the respective group leader or staff scientist whose work aligns with their interests. Eligibility :
1. Academic Background:
Must be or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
