Eligibility :
To be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarship for the Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine (SJLP) constituency, you must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship: You must be Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian
Education/Residency: You must have received at least five years of education in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, the West Bank, Gaza, or Israel. For Syrian applicants, there is some discretion; contact the National Secretary for further advice if applicable.
Age Criteria: Be aged 18-25 on 1st October 2024 (born between 2 October 1998 and 1 October 2006). Be under 27 on 1st October 2024 (born after 1 October 1997) and have completed your first undergraduate degree on or after 1 October 2023, or your education was disrupted due to national context.
Academic Achievement: You must have completed an undergraduate degree by July 2025 with a grade that meets or exceeds the entry requirements of your chosen course at Oxford. A higher chance of successful admission is given to candidates with:A First Class Honours Degree or equivalent. A GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
English Language Criteria: You must meet the University of Oxford's English language proficiency requirements at the Higher Level or qualify for an English Language test waiver.

Academic Statement: A 350-word statement detailing your academic background and research interests.

Reference Letters: Six letters from referees attesting to your academic abilities and personal qualities.
Official Transcripts: Academic transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you have attended.
