Turkey provides not only world-class education and a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also offers scholarships to international students from all around the globe to study at some of the most prestigious universities in Turkey. The Turkey Scholarships program, which is government-funded, is designed to support and award outstanding students and researchers who wish to pursue full-time or short-term programs at top universities in Turkey. The goal of the Turkey Scholarships program is to establish a network of future leaders who are dedicated to enhancing cooperation among countries and promoting mutual understanding among societies. One of the unique features of the Turkey Scholarships program is that it offers not only financial assistance, including coverage for tuition fees, accommodation, and health insurance, but also provides university placement and access to academic, social, and cultural facilities for awardees at all levels of higher education.
Eligibility :
Minimum Academic Achievement
For undergraduate candidates: 70%
For graduate candidates: 75%
For candidates of Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy): 90%
Age Criteria
For undergraduate: being under the age of 21
For master’s programs: being under the age of 30
For PhD programs: being under the age of 35
For Research Scholarship: being under the age of 45
Required documents :
When applying through the Turkey Scholarships Application System (TBBS), all candidates must submit the following documents:
A valid form of identification, such as an ID card or passport
A photograph of the candidate taken within the past year
Results from national exams (if applicable)
A diploma or temporary graduation certificate
An official transcript
Results from international exams (such as GRE, GMAT, or SAT) if required by the chosen university or program
Results from international language tests (such as TOEFL or DELF) if required by the chosen university or program
For PhD applications, a proposal for a research topic and a written example of previous research conducted by the candidate.
