The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s top universities in one of the most multicultural cities.
This scholarship recognizes students who show exceptional academic achievement, creativity, and leadership within their schools. Special emphasis is placed on the student’s impact on their school and community, as well as their potential to contribute positively to the global community.
Awarded annually, the program is the University of Toronto’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. It covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is available only for first-entry undergraduate programs at U of T. Each year, approximately 37 students are named Lester B. Pearson Scholars.
Eligibility :
Must be an international student requiring a Canadian study permit
Must be in the final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2025
Must begin undergraduate studies at U of T in September 2026
Students already enrolled in post-secondary studies are not eligible

School nomination form
Completed University of Toronto application (via OUAC)
Pearson Scholarship application form (link provided after nomination)
Academic transcripts and required admission documents
How to apply :
Get nominated by your school (schools must be registered with U of T).
Apply to the University of Toronto through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) by October 17, 2025.
Receive a secure link to the Pearson Scholarship application after your nomination and U of T application.
Complete and submit the Pearson Scholarship application by November 7, 2025.
