Application documents for studying in Türkiye

In general, the following documents are required for applying to study in Turkey, but they may vary based on the institution and program you are applying to:

  • Application form: Applicants to most universities and higher education institutions in Turkey must complete an application form, which can usually be found on the institution's website.

  • High school diploma: A copy of your high school diploma or equivalent, along with a transcript, will be required.

  • Language proficiency test: Some Turkish universities require applicants to demonstrate proficiency in Turkish or English by completing a language test such as TOEFL or IELTS.

  • Passport: A copy of the passport's information page.

  • Passport-sized photograph: You must submit a recent passport-sized photograph.

For graduate students, the following documents are required​

  • Recommendation Letters

  • A copy of the  Diploma and transcripts for the undergraduate degree

  • Graduate examination scores (depending on the program: GRE or GMAT)

  • English Proficiency Score​

 Türkiye visa requirements for students

  • Acceptance letter: Letter of acceptance from your university of choice

  • A passport: Passports should be valid for at least six months after the date of entry

  • Health insurance: Obtain proof of health insurance

  • A bank account: You must prove that you can cover your living expenses while at university.

  • Application form: Application form for a visa. Depending on the embassy, you may need to apply through an agent.

  • You may need additional documents depending on the embassy you are applying to.
