The esteemed King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia is currently inviting applications for its scholarship program for the academic year 2024-2025. This prestigious scholarship is open to international students from all over the world, providing them with a unique opportunity to pursue Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees on a fully funded basis. It is mandatory for applicants whose first language is not English to have completed an approved English language proficiency exam. The scholarship will cover the academic session of 2024-2025.
King Abdulaziz University, founded in 1967 as a public institution in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is currently ranked as the number one university in the Arab world by Times Higher Education. It has also been included in the top 200 universities globally by four major ranking systems. The university offers a wide range of academic programs, including Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Arts, Information Technology, Business Administration, and Computer Engineering & Sciences, at both the Masters and PhD levels. The scholarship program covers all expenses for eligible students.
Eligibility :
The applicant's age should not exceed 35 years for a Ph.D., 30 years for a Master's.
The applicant must hold a university degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum grade of "very good."
For Master's and Ph.D. programs, applicants whose first language is not English must submit scores from an approved English proficiency exam. The minimum required scores for each exam are as follows:
- TOEFL (PBT) = 500
- TOEFL (CBT) = 173
- TOEFL (IBT) = 61
- IELTS = 5
The applicant must possess a record of good conduct and must be medically fit.
No dismissal from any university should be recorded in the applicant's history.
Female students must be accompanied by a relative within the allowed degrees and with regular residency.
All students must meet the eligibility criteria for admission.

For all programs except Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, the Statement of Purpose must be submitted in English.
A certified copy of the graduation certificate from the Saudi Embassy is required.
A certified copy of the transcript from the Saudi Embassy is necessary.
Two recommendation letters from former professors are to be submitted.
A copy of a valid passport, with a minimum validity of one year, is mandatory.

The Scholarship Benefits:
A monthly stipend of SR 900 will be provided.
For a research assistant without summer duties, the monthly bursary is SR 1000. The contract applies for one semester only, subject to mutual agreement between the Deanship of Graduate Studies and the student. If both parties desire to extend the contract for another semester, it can be considered.
An initial preparation allowance of SR 1,800 will be granted for the candidate's first arrival.
Healthcare coverage will be extended to the candidate.
Accommodation and facilities will be provided.
The candidate may opt for subsidized meals.
For Ph.D. candidates, a total allowance of SR 4,000 and for Master's candidates, SR 3,000 will be provided for printing the thesis.
An allowance of SR 2,700 is allocated for shipping books upon graduation.
The candidate will be entitled to a two-way airfare ticket annually.
